Southend United are set to sign Kings Lynn star Adam Crowther in the ongoing transfer window, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The Shrimpers are struggling this season and are in 17th place in the National League table.

Kevin Maher’s side are only four places clear of the relegation zone and have only won one out of their last five league games.

Southend United want to add a centre-back to their squad in the ongoing window and have their eyes set on King’s Lynn’s Crowther.

The 22-year-old joined the National League North side in the summer of 2022 and featured 45 times in the league for King’s Lynn last season.

This season, Crowther has made 19 appearances for King’s Lynn and the centre-back has shown his versatility by playing as a midfielder in several games this season.

It has been claimed that Southend United are set to sign Crowther from King’s Lynn in the ongoing window.

Maher will be hoping that Crowther’s addition will strengthen their backline and help the Shrimpers turn their season around.
