Leeds United have Burnley right-back Connor Roberts on their transfer radar this month following Djed Spence’s exit, according to the Sunday Mirror.

The 28-year-old right-back played a crucial role last season, helping Vincent Kompany’s Burnley earn promotion to the Premier League from the Championship.

This season, Roberts started as Kompany’s first-choice right-back, but has fallen out of favour with the Burnley boss.

Leeds have terminated Spence’s loan spell and Daniel Farke has been using midfielder Archie Gray in the right-back role in many games.

With Stuart Dallas out of action due to injury and Luke Ayling being linked with a move to Middlesbrough, right-back is a position Leeds are looking to improve in the January transfer window.

Now it has been claimed that the Yorkshire outfit are showing interest in Burnley star Roberts.

The 28-year-old has one and a half years left on his contract with the Clarets and this season he has made 12 league appearances in total.

Leeds have yet to make a move for the Burnley defender and it remains to be seen whether Kompany will let Roberts leave this month.
