Tom Cannon will not be looking for a loan move away from Leicester City during this month’s window, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Leicester beat off competition from a host of Championship clubs to sign Cannon from Everton in the summer.

The Foxes splashed the cash on the striker, but he has struggled to deliver so far and has managed just five outings in the Championship.

However, Cannon turned heads on New Year’s Day when he took his chance in the team and scored twice in a 4-1 demolition of Huddersfield Town.

There had been talk that the striker could look for a loan this month given his lack of action.

Cannon though will not be looking for a loan exit from Leicester.

The striker is prepared to knuckle down and fight for his spot under Enzo Maresca during the second half of the season.

Leicester are pushing for promotion to the Premier League at the first time of asking and Cannon wants to be part of it.
