The agent of Middlesbrough striker Emmanuel Latte Lath has insisted that his client has settled in well at Boro and has been moving in the right direction.

The 25-year-old striker joined the Riverside outfit from Atalanta last summer and has five goals in 16 Championship appearances to his name.

He is not a certain starter in Michael Carrick’s squad but he has still made ten league starts and has been an important part of the set-up under the former Manchester United midfielder.

Matthias Veneroso, the forward’s agent, admitted that his client has been settling in and has been getting used to English football.

He conceded that it has been a physical challenge in terms of playing every three days, but believes Lath has been heading in the right direction at Middlesbrough since joining the club.

Veneroso told Italian outlet Tutto Mercato: “Latte Lath is settling in and doing well.

“He plays every three days, which requires a different physical effort.

“But the path is right, he has scored eight [seven] goals and the impact has been positive.”

Lath has not featured in the last four Championship games for Boro but is likely to get more games in the latter half of the season.
