Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic has been the decisive factor in Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho’s impending return to the Westfalenstadion despite scepticism about him at the Bundesliga outfit.

Sancho is expected to be in Germany today to complete a loan move from Manchester United to Dortmund.

The two clubs achieved a breakthrough in negotiations and his loan move will cost Dortmund a package of €4m.

Manchester United are happy to loan out a player who fell out with Erik ten Hag and has not played for several months.

There was initial scepticism around Dortmund bringing Sancho to the club, but according to German magazine Sport Bild (via Fussball Transfers), Terzic’s push to have him prevailed eventually.

The Dortmund coach pushed to make sure that Dortmund tried to sign Sancho in the ongoing transfer window.

He was in constant touch with the Manchester United winger to convince him to return to Dortmund.

The England international also showed a willingness to return to Dortmund and work under a coach who got the best out of him.

Sancho will spend the rest of the season at Dortmund, who do not have an option to buy in the loan agreement.
