Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to an option to buy in the agreement to send Djed Spence on loan to Genoa, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Spence is set to join the Italian club on loan as part of the deal that will see Genoa centre-back Radu Dragusin move to Tottenham.

Dragusin will be in London later today to undergo a medical and complete the formalities of the transfer to Spurs.

Spence’s move to Genoa is also being advanced and the defender will be joining on loan for the rest of the season.

It has been claimed that an option to buy has also been included in the agreement between the two clubs.

Genoa will have the chance to sign Spence on a permanent deal at the end of the loan stint for a figure somewhere around €10m.

Spurs have also agreed to pay the defender’s full salary during his loan stay at Genoa for the rest of the season.

The right-back spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Leeds United but the Whites decided to cut short his stay earlier this month.

Now Spence, who has made no impact at Tottenham since signing from Middlesbrough, will try to get his career back on track in Serie A.
