Arnaut Danjuma is on track to cut short his loan spell at Everton, with Lyon pushing to sign him in the ongoing transfer window.

Danjuma joined Everton from Villarreal last summer on a loan deal for the season but he has been little more than a bit-part player on Merseyside.

The winger wants to play regular football in the latter half of the season and is worried about not making the Netherlands squad for the European Championship in the summer.

Lyon are prepared to provide him with an exit route and have already agreed on personal terms with the player.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, the winger is on track to convince Everton to cut short his loan as well.

Sean Dyche does not want to weaken his squad in January but Danjuma is prepared to move on to play regular first-team football.

The player is on track to cut short his loan stay at Everton and move to another club in January.

Lyon are waiting for his loan stay to end before they can work out a deal with Villarreal for the winger’s signature.
