Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi has given his approval to a potential move to Leicester City this month, it has been claimed in Italy.

Leicester are sitting at the top of the Championship table with a ten-point lead over second-place Ipswich Town.

Unless they collapse spectacularly, Leicester seem certain to earn automatic promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.

However, the Foxes remain committed to strengthening their squad and they have been pushing hard to sign Sensi from Inter in January.

According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport (via FcInterNews.it), Leicester have received the approval of the player for the transfer.

The 28-year-old midfielder is ready to leave Inter for the Championship leaders in the ongoing transfer window.

Leicester are now in talks with the Serie A leaders to work out an agreement over a fee for Sensi’s move to England.

A deal is expected to be agreed upon between the two clubs for a fee of €2m in the ongoing window.

With his contract expiring in the summer, Inter are happy to bring in some cash from the midfielder’s sale this month.
