Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal have made contact for the signature of Aston Villa defender Lucas Digne on loan with an option to buy.

Digne has been an important player for Unai Emery’s side this season and has played a big part in them being second in the Premier League standings.

However, Aston Villa have a serious interest in Sevilla’s Marcos Acuna and they cannot move for him unless Digne leaves.

And it has been claimed that Villa could have an opportunity to move on the Frenchman in the ongoing transfer window.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Al-Hilal have put in an approach to probe the possibility of signing Digne.

It has been claimed that the Saudi side are in the market for a new left-back and the Aston Villa star is a top target.

Al-Hilal have also made a move for Bayern Munich’s Raphael Guerreiro who has played very little football this season.

The Saudi side are looking at signing either of the two players on a loan deal with an option to buy.

Aston Villa are likely to demand a guaranteed sale if they are to agree to move on Digne in the ongoing window.
