Aston Villa will only let Jhon Duran depart the club in this month’s transfer window if they are certain they can replace him, according to the Daily Mail.

Duran is not on the same page as Aston Villa boss Unai Emery and has been linked with a move away from Villa Park in the winter transfer window.

The forward has only clocked 145 minutes of football in the Premier League this term and clubs are spying an opportunity to sign him.

The player himself is keen to make sure he is playing on a regular basis, but if Duran is to secure a move away then the conditions need to be right.

Aston Villa must be certain that they can replace the Colombian this month.

Emery is determined not to leave himself short when it comes to backup for Ollie Watkins and would need a replacement.

Duran’s exit would likely to be in the form of a loan.

The 20-year-old has made a total of 34 appearances so far for Aston Villa, finding the back of the net on four occasions.
