Bristol City could make an offer for Scott Twine before the window for Burnley to recall him from his loan at Hull City expires, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Twine has been turning heads with his performances for the Tigers and played on Friday night in their clash against Norwich City in the Championship.

The Burnley man will stay at Hull if the Clarets do not recall him by a set point this month.

Bristol City want to take Twine to Ashton Gate though and they could get in touch with Burnley with an offer before the deadline passes on the loan recall clause.

The clause is set to expire within the next 24 hours and the Robins will need to act quickly.

Hull have just pulled off a coup by snapping up Fabio Carvalho on loan from Liverpool.

Both Twine and Carvalho started against Norwich on Friday, as Hull suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of David Wagner’s men.

Bristol City lost away at Preston North End on Saturday; they met Hull at Ashton Gate before Christmas and ran out 3-2 winners.
