Rangers are watching two left-backs in English football, with one of the pair being an expensive option, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

A new left-back is firmly on the agenda for Philippe Clement’s side this summer, with Ridvan Yilmaz tipped to be shipped out.

Josh Doig has been linked with Rangers, but the Hellas Verona man appears set to sign for French giants Marseille.

The Gers are now keen on Bristol City left-back Cameron Pring, with checks being carried out on the player and his situation.

However, Pring is not the only left-back in English football that Rangers are looking at.

The Gers are also keen on another unnamed left-back, who would cost a substantial fee, with suggestions of over £5m.

Splashing out such a substantial sum this month could prove to be beyond Rangers’ budget.

Clement has admitted he does expect further fresh faces to arrive at Rangers this month, following the loan capture of Fabio Silva from Wolves.
