Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite is admired at Manchester United, who will overhaul their squad in the summer transfer window, according to the Evening Standard.

Branthwaite has kicked on at Everton this season following spending last term on loan in the Netherlands at PSV Eindhoven.

The 21-year-old clocked 27 appearances in the Eredivisie, while also turning out in the Europa League, and PSV Eindhoven were keen to keep him.

This season Branthwaite is a regular under Sean Dyche at Goodison Park and his continued development has not gone unnoticed.

Manchester United are now casting their gaze towards Merseyside and Branthwaite, with the defender admired by the Red Devils.

With Sir Jim Ratcliffe coming in to provide investment and take sporting control, Manchester United are expected to overhaul their squad in the summer.

If they do move for Branthwaite they are expected to face competition as the defender has other suitors.

Branthwaite is locked down on a contract at Everton which is due to run until the summer of 2027.
