Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes is currently in Paris, but thoughts of a move to Paris Saint-Germain have been dismissed.

Guimaraes has been a sensation at Newcastle since the Magpies snapped him up from French side Lyon.

However, with staying in line with the Premier League’s financial rules on their mind, it has been suggested Newcastle might be forced to cash in on a key player at some point.

Guimaraes would doubtless attract interest and PSG have been mooted as admirers of his talents.

The Brazilian is currently in the French capital, but he is only in Paris to enjoy a small break with his family.

According to French radio station RMC, Guimaraes’ Paris trip has nothing to do with a possible transfer to PSG.

Guimaraes has turned out in the Champions League with Newcastle this season, but may have to make do without the competition next term.

The Magpies sit a lowly tenth in the standings and have already lost ten games this season, the same number as 16th placed Brentford.
