Sheffield Wednesday are in talks with AC Milan about ending the loan of goalkeeper Devis Vasquez this month.

Vasquez joined the Owls on a season-long loan from the Rossoneri in the summer transfer window.

The goalkeeper is out of favour under Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl though and has not played in the Championship since early October.

It has been suggested that Sheffield Wednesday will terminate Vasquez’s loan this month and now, according to Sky Italia (via Calciomercato.com), they are in talks with AC Milan to do so.

The Owls want to end the goalkeeper’s loan and free up a spot in the squad.

When Vasquez does return to the San Siro, AC Milan will then look to find him a new loan destination.

The shot-stopper has made nine appearances in the Championship for the Owls so far, keeping just one clean sheet.

Sheffield Wednesday currently sit third from bottom in the Championship table and are four points from safety.
