Manchester City are open to working to reach an agreement to loan out Crystal Palace and Newcastle United target Kalvin Phillips, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Phillips is keen to move on from Manchester City on a loan deal during this month’s transfer window.

Manchester City’s big demands in terms of a loan fee and salary coverage though have seen clubs hold off putting in offers for Phillips.

Newcastle are keen on Phillips as they look to bolster their midfield, but the Magpies are walking a financial fair play tightrope.

Crystal Palace have made an enquiry for Phillips, however any deal for the Eagles would depend on the finances making sense.

It is claimed though that Manchester City are relaxed about the situation and are prepared to work to find an agreement.

The Cityzens are ready to look at the structure of a deal and find a resolution.

With substantial interest in Phillips, Manchester City do expect him to leave the club before the transfer window closes.
