Sheffield Wednesday would ideally like to strengthen five different positions of their squad in the January transfer window, according to the Yorkshire Post.

Danny Rohl admitted ahead of the winter transfer window that it would play a big role in deciding his side’s fate in the Championship this season.

The Owls are still very much facing the real threat of getting relegated and so far they have only brought in two new faces.

Rohl wants to bring in more additions and Sheffield Wednesday are putting in work on several targets.

It has been claimed that the Wednesday boss wants to bring in new faces for five different positions in an ideal world.

Wednesday are looking at additions to both full-back positions and another central midfielder.

The Championship side are also looking to add more goals and creativity by bringing in a striker and a number 10 respectively.

For now, it seems unlikely that there will be more new faces in the squad when Sheffield Wednesday host Coventry City on Saturday.
