Everton are closing in on securing a replacement for loan star Arnaut Danjuma, who is pushing for a move to French giants Lyon.

Sean Dyche insisted last week that winger Danjuma is very much part of his plans going forward despite speculation over his exit this month.

However, the rumours have refused to go away and the winger has continued to push for a move to Lyon.

He has an agreement with Lyon and Villarreal are not against cutting short his loan at Everton, but the key has always been to convince the Toffees.

The Merseyside club are claimed to have told Lyon that they would want a replacement secured before releasing him and according to French outlet Foot Mercato, Everton have more or less lined up a player to come in and replace the Dutchman.

It has been suggested that Danjuma’s move to Lyon is now a matter of time as Everton are closing in on his replacement.

It is unclear who they are set to bring in but Everton are said to be prepared to release Danjuma.

The winger is now likely to get his wish and join Lyon on a loan deal until the end of the season.

All eyes will be on who Everton add to their squad as a replacement.
