Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz has not asked to leave Ibrox, despite speculation he wants an exit, according to Football Scotland.

Yilmaz is being strongly linked with a move away from Rangers during this month’s transfer window amid interest from Galatasaray and Hellas Verona.

Galatasaray have had a loan offer for Yilmaz rejected, but it has been claimed in Turkey that the defender wants the move.

There have been suggestions that Yilmaz has informed Rangers boss Philippe Clement of his desire to leave.

However, that talk is wide of the mark and the defender has not spoken to Clement asking to go.

Yilmaz is keen to make sure he is playing regular football ahead of Euro 2024 and he has struggled to nail down the left-back spot at Rangers.

Rangers have also been linked with wanting to sign a new left-back this month.

Yilmaz however is not pushing to go and it is claimed that the defender would be happy to stay put in Glasgow.
