Saudi outfit Al-Shabab have a deal in place with Newcastle United to sign Miguel Almiron, who is open to the move, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Almiron has been an important player in Eddie Howe’s squad this season and has made 18 Premier League starts.

However, Newcastle are struggling to spend money this month due to the Premier League’s financial rules and need player sales to balance their books.

The Paraguayan is seen as a player who could be moved on in January and it seems a deal is already in the works for his departure.

It has been claimed that Al-Shabab are positioning themselves to sign the winger in the ongoing winter transfer window.

A deal in principle has been agreed upon between the two clubs for Almiron’s potential transfer.

Al-Shabab will now have to reach personal terms on a contract with Almiron before the move can be finalised.

The winger is open to the move and is willing to discuss terms with the Saudi outfit over a transfer.

His departure is likely to boost Newcastle’s chances of strengthening Howe’s squad in the ongoing window.
