Hearts have set an asking price for Burnley, Ipswich Town and Blackburn Rovers target Alex Cochrane, according to The Edinburgh News.

The 23-year-old left-back has been in impressive form for Hearts this season and has made 22 appearances in all competitions.

His performances have piqued the interest of clubs down south, both from the Premier League and the Championship.

Burnley are interested in getting their hands on Cochrane as Vincent Kompany seeks to add more strength to a squad that are struggling in the top flight.

He has suitors in the Championship as well where Ipswich and Blackburn are keeping tabs on the left-back.

Hearts are aware of the interest he is generating and want at least £2m before entertaining negotiations for Cochrane’s potential departure.

He has 18 months left on his contract and Hearts do not want to sell the player at a knock-down price.

With clubs being more careful about spending money in January, it remains to be seen whether any of his English suitors agree to meet Hearts’ asking price.
