Montserrat manager Lee Bowyer is happy where he is at present, amid thoughts he could be in the mix for the Charlton Athletic job, according to the South London Press.

Charlton appointed Michael Appleton in August to make them competitive again after a disappointing start to the season.

However, after a 12-match winless run in all competitions, the Addicks hierarchy decided to part ways with Appleton.

Former Charlton Athletic boss Bowyer has been linked with a return to the Valley to succeed Appleton.

After Dean Holden’s departure, Bowyer was one of the candidates Charlton were looking at but decided to appoint Appleton.

However, it has been claimed that Bowyer is not interested in the Charlton Athletic job as he is happy in his current role as Montserrat manager.

The 47-year-old manager took charge of Montserrat national team in September and has overseen six games so far.

Former Southampton boss Nathan Jones has also been linked with the Charlton job and it remains to be seen whether they will be able to appoint someone before this weekend’s game against Blackpool.
