Kalvin Phillips is expected to be in London in the next 24 hours to undergo a medical ahead of his loan switch to West Ham United, according to Sky Sports News.

West Ham have a deal in place with Manchester City for the signature of the England midfielder on loan for the rest of the season.

The Hammers have agreed to cover 100 per cent of his wages during the loan stint as part of the agreement.

Phillips arrived in Manchester on Tuesday with the rest of the Manchester City squad following a training camp in Abu Dhabi.

It has been claimed that he is expected to be in London in the next 24 hours to complete the formalities of the move.

West Ham are hoping to put the midfielder through a medical soon ahead of signing a loan contract.

David Moyes has been a long-term admirer of Phillips and wanted to sign him for West Ham when he was at Leeds.

Phillips will hope to play more football at West Ham as he bids to secure his place in the England squad for the European Championship next summer.
