Lyon are still in discussions with Everton and Villarreal for the signature of Arnaut Danjuma ahead of next week’s transfer deadline.

Danjuma joined Everton on loan from Villarreal last summer but he has not been a regular starter at Goodison Park.

Sean Dyche has insisted that the winger is part of his plans despite incessant rumours of his departure in the ongoing transfer window.

Lyon have been interested in signing him and the French giants have an agreement in place with the player.

However, an agreement with Everton is still missing and according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Lyon are still in talks with the Toffees and Villarreal.

Dyche does not want to weaken his squad in the middle of the season and wants a replacement in place before Danjuma’s loan is cancelled.

Everton were reported to be close to signing a replacement but for the moment, no new player has been signed.

Lyon are still pushing for the Dutchman’s signature with the player very keen to move to France before Wednesday’s deadline.
