Crystal Palace are still continuing to hold talks with Blackburn Rovers in their pursuit of midfielder Adam Wharton, according to the Guardian.

The 19-year-old midfielder has emerged as a big target for Crystal Palace, who are pushing to sign him in this window.

Wharton’s impressive performances in the Championship have convinced Crystal Palace to try and take him to Selhurst Park in the ongoing window.

Blackburn rejected a deal worth up to £18.5m from Palace for the teenage midfielder earlier this week.

However, Crystal Palace have not thrown in the towel in the pursuit of the player and are still pushing to secure a deal for him.

They are still holding talks with Blackburn to work out an agreement for Wharton’s potential transfer.

Crystal Palace believe the teenage midfielder has a big future ahead of him and they want to snap him up ahead of a few bigger clubs.

The Championship side are said to be holding out for a deal worth up to £25m before agreeing to sell Wharton.
