Hull City have tabled an official request for playmaker Abdulkadir Omur after the Championship club’s owner Acun Ilicali met his Trabzonspor counterpart Ertugrul Dogan to discuss the transfer.

The Tigers have been active in the January transfer market, bringing in Premier League experience in the form of Fabio Carvalho from Liverpool and former Sheffield United star Billy Sharp.

They do not appear to be done yet, with Luton town left-back Ryan Giles and Burnley winger Anass Zaroury also being tracked.

Another name has now emerged in the form of Turkish playmaker Omur.

In fact, the Hull City owner has personally met his Trabzonspor counterpart to discuss the possibility of signing the player, according to Turkish outlet Sports Digitale.

Following that meeting an official request for Omur has also been tabled.

It now remains to be seen though what the response of the Turkish club is to Hull City’s offer.

With time running out Trabzonspor will also have to make sure that they find a suitable replacement for the player.
