David Prutton is of the opinion that Leeds United will be alright in the full-back department even if they do not recruit in this window.

Leeds have yet to recruit a player in the ongoing window and it has been suggested that they are in the market for a full-back.

The Yorkshire giants have also let Luke Ayling and Djed Spence leave in the window and have been linked with several players.

Prutton believes that it is good to be well stocked in every department and thinks that Leeds will do alright even if they do not add any full-backs in the ongoing window.

The former Whites star stated that with the form and fitness the players in the full-back position are in, shows that Leeds can manage through the season with them.

“It’s always good to have a stock of players that you can call on when it comes to those particular situations”, Prutton wrote in his Yorkshire Evening Post column.

“But given the fact that we are in January and that hopefully Archie’s injury is not a long term knock, between Byram, Shackleton and Firpo you can use it.

“We have even seen Pascal Struijk there in seasons gone by.

“I’m not saying it’s make do or mend but you either load up expecting the worst or say that you are okay and I would say that by and large Leeds are in the kind of territory of being okay.

“It’s been a source of debate for quite a while but when you look at the form and the fitness of the players involved then I think they should be alright in that department.”

Leeds are currently in fourth place in the league table and all eyes will be on the Whites to see whether they will sign any players in the remaining days of the transfer window.
