Portsmouth have a deal in place to secure the signature of Wigan attacker Callum Lang ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The League One leaders have been chasing the winger for some time as they push to strengthen John Mousinho’s squad.

Mousinho is keen to bring in more quality and further consolidate his side’s position at the top of the League One standings.

Portsmouth have been in talks with Wigan over getting a deal done to sign the 25-year-old winger in the ongoing window.

It has been claimed that an agreement is in place between the two clubs for Lang’s transfer in the coming days.

Following a tough set of negotiations, Wigan have agreed to sell the winger to the League One leaders.

With a deal in place, Lang will now travel to Portsmouth to undergo a medical and complete the formalities of the transfer.

The winger has netted 31 times and laid on 18 assists in 143 appearances for Wigan thus far.
