Watford have been left behind in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Noha Lemina in the ongoing winter transfer window.

Lemina is currently on loan at Sampdoria but PSG have been keen to find a new club for him in the winter transfer window.

The 18-year-old midfielder has struggled for minutes in Italy and PSG are trying to get a new club to sign him on loan.

Watford have been interested in signing the player on loan from the Parisians in the ongoing winter transfer window.

However, according to French outlet Foot Mercato, they are now trailing other clubs in the race to sign Lemina this month.

It is unlikely now that Lemina will be joining Watford before the end of the transfer window on Wednesday night.

Lille, Le Mans and Amiens are amongst the clubs who are interested in getting their hands on Lemina in the coming days.

The 18-year-old midfielder also has suitors in Germany where VfB Stuttgart have their eyes on the player.
