Newcastle United linked Benjamin Sesko is the number-one striker target for AC Milan for the summer transfer window.

Sesko is a sought-after young talent in world football and several big clubs are interested in snaring him away from RB Leipzig.

Newcastle are expected to try and bring in a forward at the end of the season and Sesko is believed to be their priority long-term target.

However, the Magpies are expected to face stiff competition from some of the biggest clubs in Europe moving forward.

According to Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), he is also the priority target for AC Milan.

The Rossoneri are aware that they will need a striker in the summer to replace Olivier Giroud in the long-term.

The club are already assessing their options and Sesko is the name on the top of their shortlist.

Joshua Zirkzee, Serhou Guirassy and Viktor Gyokeres are also considered potential options.

However, Sesko is their top target and AC Milan are keen to get to work on trying to sign him.

Leipzig are insistent that they will not sell the player for less than his €50m release clause.
