Charlton Athletic and Wrexham are not in the running to sign Aaron Collins from Bristol Rovers, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

Collins has been linked with a possible move away from the Mem before the transfer window slams shut.

Charlton recently put in an offer for Collins, which was turned down by Bristol Rovers, who view the striker as being worth close to the £1m mark.

The Addicks though do not look to still be in the running for Collins, while another linked side in the shape of Wrexham are also no longer in the mix to sign the striker.

Bolton Wanderers now increasingly appear the only game in town for Collins.

The Trotters have also tried their luck with an offer and saw a £600,000 proposal rejected.

With the clock now ticking down on the transfer window, clubs will need to move closer towards Bristol Rovers’ valuation if they want to do a deal for Collins.

Charlton currently sit in 18th the League One standings, while Wrexham are sitting in second spot in the League Two table.
