Ipswich Town are in the market for a new left-back as well ahead of the end of the transfer window on Thursday night, according to the East Anglian Daily Times.

Kieran McKenna’s side are expected to be busy over the next few days as the manager pushes to bring in reinforcements.

Ipswich have completed the capture of Iraq international striker Ali Al-Hamadi from League Two side AFC Wimbledon.

The Blues are looking to bring in one more striker with Blackburn’s Sam Gallagher still on their radar ahead of the window closing.

However, McKenna is looking to strengthen other areas of his squad before the window closes on Thursday night.

Ipswich are working on identifying a left-back target ahead of the end of the window as well.

The Ipswich boss believes they need more cover in defence as they push to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League.

It is not as big a priority for Ipswich but the club are in the market to strengthen at left-back if the right option presents itself.
