Lyon owner John Textor is hopeful that the club will be able to complete the signings of both West Ham star Said Benrahma and Everton’s Arnaut Danjuma before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
The French giants recently completed the signing of Nemanja Matic but are gunning for more reinforcements in the coming days.
Lyon have an interest in snapping up the Premier League duo of Benrahma and Danjuma before the window closes on Thursday night.
Textor admitted that the club have put in bids for both players and insisted that the duo are interested in moving to Lyon in the ongoing transfer window.
He conceded that signing Danjuma will be more complicated as Everton do not have a reason to terminate his loan at the moment but is hopeful an agreement will be reached.
The Lyon owner told French sports daily L’Equipe: “We have submitted significant offers for both players and we believe both would be delighted to come to Lyon.
“But their club have their own priorities and Danjuma’s case is even more complicated because Everton, who hold his rights via a loan, have little reason to release him.
“We hope that all parties can eventually come to an agreement.”
It remains to be seen whether Lyon succeed in getting their hands on both Benrahma and Danjuma before the window closes.
