Real Betis are likely to table an improved offer for West Ham midfielder Pablo Fornals in their pursuit of the Spaniard ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline, according to Sky Sports News.

The midfielder is keen to move on from West Ham in the ongoing winter transfer window and return to Spain.

Real Betis have been in talks with the Hammers over trying to secure a deal to take Fornals to La Liga this month.

Fornals has given his approval to the move but there is still no agreement between the two clubs over a fee.

West Ham rejected Betis’ first offer for the player but it has been claimed that a new bid is likely to be tabled soon.

The Spanish club are likely to put in an improved offer in the coming hours to try and sign Fornals.

Betis are insistent on getting a deal done and hopeful that the new offer will convince West Ham to let the player go.

Fornals is pushing for the move and is eagerly waiting for the two clubs to reach an agreement for his proposed transfer.
