Swedish sensation Lucas Bergvall has concluded his visit to Barcelona without saying yes to the Catalans, amid Tottenham Hotspur fighting for his signature.

Bergvall, who has been capped by Sweden despite just being 17 years old, is on the books at Djurgardens, but is not expected to remain so for long.

Barcelona and Tottenham are going head to head for Bergvall and the Catalans thought they would be able to seal the deal this week with the Swede visiting.

Bergvall met with Deco and looked at the club’s facilities, but according to Catalan daily Mundo Deportivo, he left without giving a positive answer.

Barcelona are aware they are now in a real scrap with Tottenham for Bergvall.

The Catalans want to straddle Bergvall between the B team and the senior team, starting from next season.

Tottenham however are ready to slot him into their first team set-up now.

Spurs will hope that Bergvall not appearing to have been fully convinced by Barcelona will play into their hands, as they wait for the midfielder to decide on his future.
