Celtic are not currently chasing Peterborough United left-back Harrison Burrows, according to the Scottish Sun.

Brendan Rodgers has been linked with wanting to bring in a new left-back in this month’s transfer window and the clock is ticking.

The Scottish giants have been linked in some quarters with a raid on English League One club Peterborough.

Burrows, 22, has caught the eye with his performances at London Road, but he will not be heading north of the border now.

Celtic are not interested in launching a swoop for the left-back.

It remains to be seen if Celtic will make a late play for a left-back, but they are not going for Burrows.

Burrows has made 28 appearances in League One for Posh over the course of this season and chipped in with an impressive eight assists.

The defender has also worn the captain’s armband at Peterborough in a sign of his importance to the club.
