Galatasaray are waiting for a response from Rangers on their offer for Gers full-back Ridvan Yilmaz, it has been claimed in Turkey.

Galatasaray lost Sacha Boey to Bayern Munich this month, bringing in Serge Aurier from Nottingham Forest as a replacement.

The left-back position is yet another area they are focusing on with multiple options being looked at.

The Turkish club have been long-time admirers of Rangers left-back Yilmaz and are still attempting to get a deal over the line for him.

They are currently proposing a loan move for the 22-year-old for a fee of €500,000, with an option to buy for a fee of €3m at the end of the season, according to Turkish daily Hurriyet.

However, the Scottish giants are yet to give a response to Galatasaray’s offer for Yilmaz.

Manchester City’s Sergio Gomez, Juventus’ Luca Pellegrini and Lyon’s Nicolas Tagliafico are the other options being looked at.

It now remains to be seen whether the Turkish giants manage to get a response in time from Rangers to get a deal over the line before Friday’s deadline.
