Fleetwood Town boss Charlie Adam believes that losing Aaron Collins to Bolton Wanderers is a big loss for Bristol Rovers and warned that his side have the quality to hit the Gas on the counter-attack tonight.

Collins was part of Matt Taylor’s starting line-up and scored three goals and assisted nine times this season for Bristol Rovers before joining Bolton Wanderers in the January transfer window.

Despite losing Collins, Taylor’s side secured a 3-1 victory over Exeter City at the weekend and tonight they are set to take on Fleetwood Town.

Adam pointed out that Collins’ departure is a big blow for the Gas, but admitted that Bristol Rovers put in a good performance against Exeter at the weekend.

The Fleetwood boss stated that he expects Bristol Rovers to be aggressive against them but warned that they have enough quality to hit Taylor’s side on the counter-attack.

“They are tough, they are aggressive and [there will be] a lot of second balls”, Adam said at a press conference.

“They have some good players, [Luke] Thomas, losing Collins will be a bit of a blow for them, but they obviously reacted in the right way on Saturday by winning the game.

‘Finley in midfield is aggressive and can get on the ball and pass it well, so we know we have to be well organised and have to match them physically, but again, on the counter attack and the quality that we have, we hope to cause them problems.”

Fleetwood Town have not lost their last three visits to the Memorial Stadium and Bristol Rovers will be eager to change that record tonight.
