Jon Dahl Tomasson is set to leave his job as Blackburn Rovers manager, according to the Daily Mail.

Tomasson’s future at Ewood Park has become the source of speculation in recent weeks amid the manager’s unhappiness and the club’s poor results.

The Dane was unhappy to see Blackburn’s budget cut in the summer and has been firefighting at the wrong end of the Championship this season.

He was hoping for more reinforcements in the January transfer window, but Blackburn failed to complete a deal to sign Duncan McGuire due to an issue with registering him.

Now Tomasson is set to move on from the Ewood Park job.

Blackburn will have to commence the search for a new manager.

Tomasson has been clear that the club find themselves in a difficult situation in the Championship and it remains to be seen who they turn to.

All eyes will also be on whether Tomasson has been sacked or has left Blackburn by mutual consent.

Blackburn sit five points above the drop zone in the Championship standings.
