Fenerbahce have put in a bid to sign Birmingham City midfielder Juninho Bacuna, it has been claimed in Turkey.

The Turkish winter transfer window is still open and it will only close on Friday as Turkish clubs make late attempts to bring in reinforcements.

Fenerbahce are looking to be active in the final 24 hours of the transfer window and they have their eyes on signing a midfielder.

Bacuna has emerged as a target for the Turkish giants and the club are pushing to sign him before Friday’s deadline.

According to Turkish outlet AS Marca, Fenerbahce have tabled an offer in their attempt to sign the Birmingham midfielder.

It has been claimed that the Turkish giants have offered Blues a fee of €5m to let them take Bacuna in the next 24 hours.

The 26-year-old midfielder has been an important part of the Birmingham team this season and has made 28 appearances in the Championship.

It remains to be seen whether Tony Mowbray is prepared to sanction the sale of Bacuna given he has no chance of signing a replacement.
