Crystal Palace are yet to act upon their interest in Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Roy Hodgson is almost certain to be leaving Crystal Palace at the end of the season as the club look to focus on bringing in a new manager.

There are suggestions that if results do not improve, the veteran coach could leave earlier but for the moment, they want to stick to him.

The Eagles have already drawn up a shortlist of managerial targets and McKenna is one of the managers they like.

However, for the moment no progress has been made with regards to their interest in the former Manchester United coach.

The 37-year-old has been a highly-rated coach since his days of managing the Tottenham and Manchester United Under-18s.

He has further impressed since taking charge of Ipswich and got them promoted to the Championship last season.

McKenna’s team are very much in the hunt for back-to-back promotions and he has already been touted for bigger things.

Crystal Palace have their eyes on him but for the moment there has been no movement towards making an offer to the Ipswich boss.

McKenna is also focused on trying to get Ipswich promoted to the Premier League this season.
