Chris Honor is of the view that Bristol City star Anis Mehmeti needs to introduce composure into his game and added that he has to work on timing his passes correctly.

The 23-year-old winger joined Bristol City in January 2023 and under Liam Manning he has established himself as a regular in the Robins starting line-up.

On Tuesday, Mehmeti played a key role in helping Bristol City to a 3-1 win over Southampton at Ashton Gate.

Honor is of the view that the winger has excellent skills and thinks that the Bristol City faithful know what they can expect from Mehmeti.

However, he stressed that the Albania international will need to bring some composure to his game and highlighted that the timing of his passing is an area he will have to work on.

“Most supporters know what Mehmeti is all about; he has lovely skill, a little bit of a trick here and a little bit of a trick there, but what he has to add to his game is composure and some timing with some of his passes”, Honor said on BBC Radio Bristol.

“Sometimes he takes too long and sometimes he does not pass early enough, sometimes he does not see the pass completely and that is something he has to get into his game.”

Mehmeti has featured 24 times in the league for Bristol City so far this season and will be determined to help the Robins seal a place in the playoffs in the ongoing campaign.
