Former Eintracht Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner has signed his contract with Crystal Palace ahead of taking charge of the team from Roy Hodgson.

Hodgson is set to get sacked by Crystal Palace with the club hierarchy now worried about getting dragged into the relegation dogfight.

The veteran manager’s press conference today was cancelled after he took ill during training day but his days at Selhurst Park are numbered.

Crystal Palace have been in talks with Glasner over replacing Hodgson with immediate effect and now he is on the cusp of taking charge.

According to German broadcaster Sky Deutschland, the Austrian has signed a contract with Palace to become their new manager.

The 49-year-old has put pen to paper on a contract running until 2026 with an option of another year.

Glasner took Wolfsburg to the Champions League and won the Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Crystal Palace are expected to confirm the departure of Hodgson and the arrival of the Austrian as their new manager soon.
