Tottenham Hotspur have a heads-up in the race for Genoa attacker Albert Gudmundsson as he shares the same agents as Spurs stars Guglielmo Vicario and Radu Dragusin.

Genoa fought hard to keep the attacker at the club beyond the end of the January transfer window despite interest from clubs in Italy and abroad.

They rejected overtures from West Ham and Fiorentina in January to keep hold of the Iceland international but the summer is likely to be different.

Genoa are likely to sell the player at the end of the season and Tottenham are amongst the clubs interested in snapping up Gudmundsson.

And the north London club could have a slight edge in the chase due to the agent situation.

The Iceland forward shares the same agents as Vicario and Dragusin, who joined Spurs in the previous two windows.

Tottenham have developed a solid relationship with the agents and it has also put Gudmundsson on their radar.

They are unlikely to find it hard to work out a deal with the agents if they get an agreement with Genoa.

The Italian side are prepared to sell Gudmundsson in the summer if they receive somewhere around €35m for him.
