West Ham United boss David Moyes has responded to fan discontent by stressing his winning record at the London Stadium.
The pressure increased on Moyes on Saturday when West Ham suffered a 2-0 loss at Nottingham Forest and also had Kalvin Phillips sent off.
A section of West Ham fans are unhappy with the football that Moyes is serving up and want a change in the dugout.
Moyes is determined to state his case though and insists that even though some previous West Ham managers may have played more attractive football, they did not deliver the wins that he has.
“Maybe they’ve had managers who excite them more, possibly”, Moyes was quoted as saying by the Evening Standard.
“But the one who’s sitting here wins more.”
Moyes is out of contract at West Ham at the end of the season and talks on a fresh deal are now on hold.
He delivered a major trophy to West Ham by guiding the club to success in the Europa Conference League and currently has them sitting eighth in the Premier League.
The Hammers are next due to play host to Brentford at the London Stadium and Moyes will be desperate for all three points.
