West Ham United legend Tony Cottee has stressed the importance of the Hammers putting in maximum effort against Nottingham Forest away from home today.

The Hammers are still reeling from their 6-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal at the London Stadium last weekend.

The pressure on David Moyes has piled up since then and West Ham have put talks over a new deal with the manager on hold until the end of the season and want to see improved performances.

The West Ham players are also under pressure to bounce back from the bad defeat at home and Cottee stressed that the fans need to see the effort from their team today at Nottingham Forest.

He insisted that regardless of the results, the West Ham players should leave everything at the City Ground today.

“Whatever the result at Forest today, the players must put in a performance of maximum effort for the thousands of Hammers fans that will be behind the goal at the City ground”, the former Hammer took to X and wrote.

West Ham are without a win in five Premier League games and have lost their last two fixtures.
