West Ham United technical director Tim Steidten, who is on Liverpool’s radar, feels he has not been given enough power at the club, according to the Guardian.

Steidten has impressed with his work in the transfer market since being appointed at West Ham, but has not always seen eye-to-eye with David Moyes on targets.

It is unclear whether Steidten will stay on beyond the end of the season and Liverpool have been linked with having him under consideration as their new sporting director.

Steidten has admitted to being flattered to be linked with Liverpool, but stressed no formal contact has happened.

The technical director’s future at West Ham is now under the scanner and it is claimed the German does not feel he has been given enough power.

If Moyes signs a new deal and stays then that situation may stay the same, but if he leaves, then Steidten could be happy to play a big role in picking his successor.

Steidten has made a number of appointments to West Ham’s recruitment team.

Losing Steidten would be a blow for West Ham and the technical director is not likely to be short of offers if he does depart the club.
