Former Leicester City star Matt Piper has warned Leeds United he is confident heading into the Foxes’ game at Elland Road despite the Whites’ good home record.

Leeds are in second place in the Championship table with 69 points from 33 games and are nine points behind league leader Leicester City.

Under Daniel Farke this season, Leeds are unbeaten at Elland Road and they are set to host Enzo Maresca’s Leicester City on Friday night.

Piper is aware that going to Elland Road is difficult, but stressed that he is confident about Leicester heading into the game.

And he admitted that despite the Foxes’ defeat in their last game against Middlesbrough, his confidence over a trip to Leeds has not changed.

“I am really looking forward to it, even though we just lost to Middlesbrough, I am confident”, Piper said on BBC Radio Leicester.

“It [Elland Road] is a tough place to go, but I am confident.”

Leicester City are undefeated at Elland Road in their last two visits and Leeds will be determined to change the record in their upcoming game.
