Nottingham Forest loaned out star Orel Mangala has revealed that he knows his Lyon team-mate Nemanja Matic is a good player from the PlayStation.

In the January transfer window, Nottingham Forest agreed to a loan deal with Lyon to send the player to France for the rest of the season, with Les Gones having an option to buy.

Mangala has featured three times in all competitions since joining Lyon and registered an assist in the French outfit’s win against Nice last week.

The Nottingham Forest star pointed out that there is a lot of competition in Lyon’s squad and added that his team-mates make him feel good.

Mangala revealed that he knows former Manchester United star Matic from the PlayStation and TV and stressed that it is easy to play alongside a quality player like the Serbian.

“There is a lot of competition, and I feel good with all the players around me”, Mangala told reporters.

“I knew Nemanja Matic from television and the PlayStation.

“It is easier to play with players like that.”

Lyon successfully negotiated an option-to-buy clause in the Nottingham Forest midfielder loan deal and it remains to be seen whether he will be able to impress the French outfit enough to earn a permanent move in the summer, or return to the City Ground.
