Trabzonspor boss Abdullah Avci has revealed that he will sit down with Southampton loanee Paul Onuachu to discuss his future.

Onuachu, who is on loan at Trabzonspor from Southampton, is having a brilliant season with the Turkish outfit, scoring nine goals in 16 league appearances so far.

The centre forward has impressed Trabzonspor and they want to sign the Southampton star on a permanent basis in the summer.

Avci revealed that he will soon sit down with Onuachu to understand what the player has in mind for his future.

The Trabzonspor boss also stated that they want to get the most out of the Saints forward while he is with the club, along with those who recently returned from national team duty.

“As of now, we want to get the maximum efficiency from the players at the club”, Avci was quoted saying by Turkish outlet A Spor.

“They came back from the Africa Cup of Nations; they are physically tired.

“We will sit down and talk to each other, find out what they want and see.

“We are talking about the current situation right now.”

Onuachu has a contract with Southampton that will expire at the end of June 2026 and it remains to be seen whether the Saints will be ready to let him go in the summer.
